Hey Nina! Thanks for this! I just knew your absence meant that you had been tapped to help. It is no surprise and they are so fortunate to have your incredible knowledge to inform them. I continue to support you no matter how often you post, no apologies necessary. Thanks again for your excellent work.

Thank you for this! Your work is relentless and so valuable! Please please keep talking to the policy makers. Our country is sick and on the wrong track for reversal without people like you running interference for us. You are a light at the end of the tunnel!

If there is no financial or other reward involved then it is incompetence. Either way a new transparent administration for USA, (here in UK too) is needed.

Nina doing a great job and the army of like minded people growing stronger every day.

There are other consequences to educating people ref what really is the lifestyle needed for optimal, affordable health. A nationwide financial model is also needed as healthy people live longer and a lot of jobs would be lost as processed food is left on the shelf.

Those lost jobs will be replaced by other jobs as spending shifts.

Yes I agree but needs to be planned and communicated to politicians and decision makers.

Ha! You further strengthened my General Operating Theory that mistrust in government and Big ‘X’ (Food, Pharma, etc.) is always warranted.

I highly recommend 'Dogmatism in Science and Medicine' by Henry H. Bauer. Excerpt from pages 162 and 163. "The chief way in which science has been changed has now been mentioned: from an intellectual free market of independent entrepreneurs to a corporate activity inextricably intertwined with business, industry, government...Inevitably, hierarchy of prestige and status serves to entrench whatever beliefs have become accepted by those at the top."

Nina thank you for your relentless commitment to a HFLC diet in the face of overwhelming opposition. Please keep doing exactly what you’re doing. I had a grade IV brain tumour removed 23.5 months ago. My prognosis was 24 months. I feel amazing, and I truly believe it’s due to my strict HFLC diet - almost carnivore, in fact. Gary Taubes recommended carnivore to me when I emailed him, twelve-ish months ago. Both of you give me hope.

Recently I have been working as a physician in a state prison. You know what kind of diet they are getting. I try to advise the diabetics to limit carbs and eat more meat, fat, green vegetables. They know it is futile there. I am amazed at how many of them know about limiting sugar and carbs, but unfortunately are not able to.

Food in prisons is terrible, I've heard, and this is one, literally, captive population where I believe fake meat will be introduced (since it failed in the consumer market). Even worse :(

They tell me their meat is all processed with grain-based fillers. They get no truly solid meat, so you might well be right, or maybe it has already started.

No apology necessary, Nina. If you take a year off from posting while getting your message to the new policymakers in Washington, I’m sure we’ll all still be supporting Unsettled Science. Your time is now! Good luck to you.

Thanks for this timely and insightful summary of this sad state of affairs in nutrition and health. It's sad to realize what a big scam all this is. A major financial investment that has led to conclude what not to do !
